Dreamhavens Mighty Max

Max is on the doorstep to retirement. He left in November 2007 to live with his retirement family. He will be left intact for breeding until the end of 2008. At the end of 2008 he will be neutered. I have one final litter planned for him with Marlie in the spring if 2008 and in the fall of 2008 there are 2 possible litters with other breeders. After that his legacy will live on in his offspring.

Max is our seniour here at Stoverly. He came to us in July of 2004 and has been a welcome addition to the family. Fro being a full time kennel doh to a full time house pet, Max has adjusted very quickly. Max is our lover. He is happy to meet all new people, and is forever greatfull for a few minutes of attention. Max is a grinner and when he's happy he shows us all his pearly white teeth while wiggling his behind. This is not an agressive behaviour and is very common to aussies. You always know Max is happy to see you.

Max and his offspring have always been some of my favorite aussies. Even before I owned one myself. If truth be known, several Max kids are the reason I fell in love with this breed. I have had the pleasure of watching some of his kids grow up and play the sport of flyball. I've eneb been so lucky as to watch some of his great grand kids go on to be flyball athletes. I expect nothing less of the puppies he produces for me.

Max is the sire of 3 of flyballs top 10 mini aussies. All of whom run consistantly under 5 seconds and all of whom are in Canada. Of the 71 mini's racing in North America as of July 2005, dreamhaven Blastoff is #2, Dreamhaven Jiffy Pop is #4 and Dreamhaven Scatman is #5. He has is also grand- sired to several pups who arevery active in the flyball world.

Max himself is pretty laid back. His favorite spot is on the couch for a belly rub. Do not let his quiet demenor fool you. He passes on a fairly high drive and activity level to all of his puppies. His puppies do very well in performance homes regardless of the female he is bred to. Which is why he was brought into my breeding program. to help produce small athletic little dogs for active homes. I am hoping to get an outstanding Max puppy or two to carry on his wonderful legacy when he is retired from breeding.

Max is wonderful in every way that counts. He will probably be retired from breeding in the next year or two. From there he will live out his retirement sleeping on the furniture and getting lots of belly rubs.
